Yesterday our family lost our patriarch. Russell Gene Hales passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 18, 2013 at 9:23am. While difficult and painful for us, it was a day of celebration for him. He is finally reunited with his dear wife, parents, brother and granddaughter. He is finally free of the pain his body endured.
However, life has a way of making things come full circle. The same day my grandfather passed, my cousin's baby boy was blessed. His father gave him a beautiful blessing and the occasion was truly joyous. Even though grandpa passed away on Sunday, his legacy lives on through all of us, including sweet baby Sam. More on all of this later.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, that has to be difficult. That baby boy is so stinking cute though, and I agree...I do not like using the blogger app, it stinks!!
